MANILA, Philippines - At least P1.5 million worth of property went up in smoke when a fire of unknown origin gutted a warehouse in Quezon City at dawn yesterday.
Senior Fire Officer 1 Rosendo Cabillas said the fire broke out at the warehouse of John–Jacklyn Marketing in Barangay Manresa at 2 a.m.
Residents in the area said they heard an explosion prior to the fire.
Cabillas said the firm’s delivery van was damaged.
Firefighters took more than two hours to contain the blaze.
