12 hurt in Pasay road mishap

MANILA, Philippines - Twelve persons were injured and bags of exotic aquarium fish littered the road when a jeepney overturned at the corner of Roxas Boulevard and Buendia yesterday morning.

Traders Luzviminda Zinatra and Adelaida Pugoy, were listed in critical condition at a hospital after their arms were pinned under the overturned jeepney, according to city rescue team leader Joji Muralim.

According to initial reports, the 12 persons were transporting exotic aquarium fish from Masinloc, Zambales to Parañaque City when the jeepney’s left rear tire burst, causing the vehicle to swerve and overturn.
