MANILA, Philippines - Policemen intercepted what they believe to be a “delivery” of marijuana bricks to slum areas in Quezon City yesterday morning.
Nearly two kilos of dried marijuana with a street value of P10,000 was seized from Ranilo Benig, 30, along East Avenue at around 11 a.m., Chief Inspector Enrico Figueroa said.
“Marijuana is now relatively cheaper compared to shabu,” he said, adding that Benig has allegedly been in the drug trade for about five years.
He said the suspect allegedly would source his contraband from a supplier in Bagong Barrio, Caloocan City, who in turn would get his supply from Baguio City.
