Woman beaten to death in Valenzuela

MANILA, Philippines - A woman was found dead with her head bashed in at a vacant lot in Valenzuela City yesterday.

Senior Police Officer 4 Jess Sagisi said the body of Grace David, 37, single, a resident of Lucas Street in Barangay Maysan, was found by relatives at past noon.

The victim’s body was found partly covered with dry grass at the Francisco Compound at around 1 p.m. yesterday, Sagisi said.

Police investigators said they found at the crime scene a rock still resting on the victim’s head. The motive for David’s slay and the identity of her killers have yet to be determined, police said.
