Woman found stuffed in rice sack

- Reinir Padua -

MANILA, Philippines –  An unidentified woman’s body was found stuffed in a rice sack and dumped in an alley in Barangay Culiat, Quezon City yesterday morning.

Police Officer 2 Roland Belgica suspects the woman could have been an informant sent to the area, which he said is notorious for its illegal drug trade. He said drug dealers there are very suspicious of strangers who just wander into the area.

A resident passing through the alley at around 5:50 a.m. noticed the rice sack and found the victim, who had been gagged with a face towel.

Belgica believes the woman died from a fatal blow to the head, as indicated by a laceration across her left temple.

The victim was described to be 30 to 35 years old, 4’6” in height, with long hair and fair skin. She was wearing corduroy short pants and a black sando.
