MANILA, Philippines - Investigators are facing a blank wall in the reported disappearance of a son of lawyer Oliver Lozano, the head of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) admitted yesterday.
QCPD director Chief Superintendent Benjardi Mantele said that at the moment, they have neither leads nor suspects behind the reported disappearance of Emerson Lozano, 44, who is into the buy-and-sell business.
Mantele said footage taken by a surveillance camera at a gas station in Barangay Old Balara, where Lozano was to have met with a prospective buyer for his Kia Carnival van last Wednesday, did not catch any untoward incident and witnesses said they did not see any abduction.
Lozano was with his driver Ernane Sensil. The two failed to return home that night, prompting the Lozano family to alert the police about their disappearance.
The following morning, Sensil’s body was found in Barangay Matayumtayum in Lapaz, Tarlac. Police said Sensil had a gunshot wound in the forehead and his body was burned.
Mantele said they are investigating it as a missing person case and will continue to look for Lozano or any witness who may lead investigators to his location.
