MANILA, Philippines - In a bid to make it even more accessible to the public especially motorists, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority has redesigned its website www.mmda.gov.ph.
MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino said the redesign of the MMDA website is in line with the agency’s renewed thrust to use technology in the pursuit of its mandate.
The MMDA website now features 11 sections: main, news, services, projects, legal matters, Metro Manila Council, photo gallery, careers, contact us, frequently asked questions and transparent governance.
Incorporated in the main section is the new MMDA vision statement, latest news, and links to the social media tools used by the agency such as email, a Google map of Metro Manila, the MMDA’s Facebook page, its Twitter page (www.twitter.com/mmda), and the MMDA News Channel on YouTube (www.youtube.com/user/mmdanews).
It also contains links to various government offices and agencies such as the Office of the President, The Official Gazette, the Department of Public Works and Highways, Land Transportation Office, Land Transportation, Franchising and Regulatory Board, and the Asian Network of Major Cities.
The public may also get additional information from the MMDA through the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section of the website which answers the most common inquiries such as on how to settle outstanding traffic citation tickets, an updated table of traffic fines and penalties, and the revised rules on the Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program or number coding scheme.
