INC endorses Binay son, San Pedro

MANILA, Philippines - The Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) has endorsed Councilor Jejomar Erwin Binay Jr. as Makati mayor and incumbent Muntinlupa Mayor Aldrin San Pedro’s bid for reelection.

Binay, the son of vice presidential candidate and Makati Mayor Jejomar Binay, said yesterday he met with INC officials last Tuesday.

He said he is “humbled and honored” by the INC’s support. “I intend to make my term as the next Makati mayor worthy of their support, and that of the people of Makati,” the younger Binay said.

San Pedro thanked the INC for their “continued trust and support. I am overwhelmed and very grateful for their endorsement.” The mayor’s political team said the INC endorsement will boost San Pedro’s candidacy.
