MANILA, Philippines - A Taguig City warehouse owned by snack food firm Besuto Food Corp. burned down before dawn yesterday.
Senior Inspector Buenaventura Cuevas, Taguig City fire marshall, said the fire started at the warehouse on First Avenue in Bagong Bayan at around 3:30 a.m., reaching the third alarm before it was contained four hours later. The fire destroyed P1 million worth of property.
Cuevas said initial reports indicate the fire was triggered by an appliance that was left to run unattended. – Rhodina Villanueva
