MANILA, Philippines - Officials and employees of the Bureau of Immigration (BI) kicked off last weekend their relief operations for victims of typhoons Ondoy and Pepeng by distributing relief goods to 4,000 affected families in Laguna and Pangasinan.
BI Commissioner Nonoy Libanan led a team of BI personnel in giving away the relief goods to residents of San Pedro, Laguna and Dagupan, San Carlos and Lingayen in Pangasinan.
The relief operations are part of the Oplan Sagip sa Kapwa Pilipino which the BI launched in the wake of the two storms that struck the country recently. – Rudy Santos
