Quezon City watchman shot dead

MANILA, Philippines - A village watchman in Barangay Talipapa, Quezon City was found dead early yesterday morning.

The killing of victim Jay Noble, 35, could be related to past apprehensions he made as a village watchman, said Superintendent Marcelino Pedrozo Jr., commander of the Quezon City Police District-Station3.

“We have an ongoing manhunt operation against a certain Dave with whom the victim had an altercation prior to the killing,” Pedrozo said in an interview.

Reports reaching the QCPD-Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit stated that Noble was found at past 3 a.m. in Delnacia Village in Barangay Talipapa.

A resident found his lifeless body slumped bloodied beside his service motorcycle.

Police investigators found a slug from an undetermined caliber of gun at the crime scene.

The police also noted that the victim sustained a lone gunshot wound in the left side of his neck.        – Reinir Padua
