Man faces 6 years imprisonment after cutting private part of male lover

- Reinir Padua -

A man is facing six years or more behind bars after having cut off the entire private part of his male lover inside a motel in Quezon City over jealousy.

Suspect Jose Feliciano, 35, underwent inquest proceedings yesterday for charges of physical injuries, according to Superintendent Renato Valebia, commander of Station 4 of the Quezon City Police District. Feliciano was even the one to bring his lover Marvic Cauan, 21, to the Far Eastern Hospital for treatment after the incident. However, Cauan’s severed penis could no longer be re-attached after the suspect flushed it down the toilet bowl of their motel room.

Valebia said Feliciano could have done it out of jealousy.

Based on a police report, Feliciano, an area manager of a mall and a resident of Fairview, and Cauan, a sales clerk and a resident of Caloocan City are both married. According to Valebia, Cauan’s mother even knows about her son’s affair with Feliciano, who Valebia said is reportedly the one shouldering the medical expenses of the mother.

The incident occurred at around 3:30 a.m. Monday inside Room 207 of a motel in Novaliches.

Using an eight-inch knife, Feliciano cut off the penis of Cauan, who was asleep after they drank liquor inside their room. Cauan was awaken from the pain and, shocked to find that his penis had been cut off, confronted his lover.

At this point, Feliciano pointed the knife at himself and threatened to commit suicide but Cauan eventually calmed him down.

Feliciano, who is now detained with his bail placed at P40,000, could face six years behind bars or more if found guilty, Valebia said.
