F4’s Ken Zhu in RP for indie film shoot

One of the members of the all-male Taiwanese group F4 is now in the country for a 10-day shoot of an independent film in Batanes.

Ken Zhu of the Meteor Garden and Meteor Rain television series arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) yesterday morning.

He will be working with Filipina actress Iza Calzado in a project that brings Taiwanese and Filipino talent together.

In the film, Ken Zhu will reportedly be playing the role of a stranded fisherman who falls in love with a local girl played by Calzado.

Taiwan’ Tourism Bureau earlier announced that their government is going to make use of F4’s charm to promote tourism by making them symbols of Taiwanese hospitality.

An advertisement featuring members of the quartet showing the neighboring country’s sceneries and attractions has already been produced.

Taiwan officials believe the F4 can help boost tourism in their country since the group is already very popular in Asia including the Philippines. – Michael Punongbayan
