Woman commits suicide in motel

A woman committed suicide by taking an overdose of anti-tuberculosis drugs inside a motel room in Sta. Mesa, Manila the other day.

The woman, who was identified only as "Amy" through a suicide note, was found dead inside Room 1 of Queensland Lodge along V. Mapa Extension in Old Sta. Mesa, Manila. She was described as in her 40s, at least five-foot tall and slim.

Police said Amy and an unidentified male companion checked in at the hotel early morning and even ordered food for lunch.

After three hours, the couple failed to come out of their room and hotel employees knocked at the door of the room and when nobody answered, they used duplicate keys and opened the room.

They found the dead woman lying face down on the floor while her male companion was missing.

The suicide note, addressed to her mother, daughter and boyfriend, was also recovered inside the bag. The woman expressed her frustrations in life in her suicide note.

Police are now looking for the victim’s companion at the motel.
