Operatives of the Eastern Police District (EPD) recovered the stolen vehicle of a police inspector in Quezon City yesterday morning.
The Toyota Vios, with license plate XPF-399, owned by Inspector Melchor Rosales, of the EPD Investigation Division, was found in the possession of one Harold Reyes, 20, who was seen driving it in Quezon City.
Reyes turned out to be a son of Gloria Reyes, 62, to whom suspect Jeffrey Ascaraga reportedly pawned Rosales car.
Police has launched a manhunt against Ascaraga.
The suspect reportedly rented the car from Rosales and did not return it. Instead, he allegedly pawned the vehicle to Reyes for P150,000. Sandy Araneta
