Novaliches hospital marks 5th year as QC’s frontline health care facility

-
When Quezon City Mayor Feliciano Belmonte Jr. assumed his post in July 1, 2001, among his priority programs was the delivery of quality health services to the poor, particularly in the depressed areas in District 2.

To address the health concerns of residents in the area, the mayor decided to upgrade the two-storey, 30-bed Novaliches hospital in Barangay San Bartolome, Novaliches district.

Today, on occasion of its fifth year anniversary, the Novaliches District Hospital (NDC), headed by medical director Dr. Eduardo Aldana, is proud to report that it has attended to the medical needs of almost a million residents in Distinct 2.

The hospital is now fully equipped with a laboratory, X-ray facilities and a pharmacy.

"The Novaliches hospital has been working in tandem with Mayor Belmonte’s plan in providing the best health care possible to the residents of Quezon City. This is in line with the transformation of Quezon City into a quality community," Aldana said.

He noted that a capacity-building program has been implemented, making the NDC a first level referral hospital, focusing on maternal and child care, diagnostic capabilities, ambulatory care and clinical services.

The NDC’s theme for this year is "Pagsulong sa Makabuluhang Paglilingkod sa Kalusugan ng Sambayan." — Perseus Echeminada
