Manhunt launched for owner of Muntinlupa shabu lab

- Non Alquitran -
The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) launched yesterday a manhunt for the owner-financier of a raided mini-shabu laboratory in Muntinlupa City.

NCRPO intelligence chief Senior Superintendent Felipe Rojas Jr. said Jamil Edris Sali has been tagged as the supplier of shabu in southern Metro Manila.

Edris purchased a lot at the Mutual Homes Subdivision in Barangay Putatan in 2002 and converted it into a mini-shabu lab, he said.

"We have in our possession statements of arrested drug pushers identifying Edris as the source of illegal drugs they peddle in the streets," Rojas told The Star.

The mini-shabu lab was busted following the arrest last April 9 of four suspected drug pushers in Parañaque City. The buy-bust involved the purchase of a kilo of shabu.

A team headed by Chief Inspector Serafin Monteclaro, of the Regional Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Force (RAIDSOTF), collared Raymond Viray, 30, after he handed over 88 grams of shabu.

Monteclaro also arrested Michael Valencia, 25, Joselito Vidal, 39, and a 16-year-old boy, all couriers of Viray in his drug operation.

During tactical interrogation, Viray and his cohorts led Rojas to the mini-shabu lab in Muntinlupa City.
