Caloocan City Mayor Enrico "Recom" Echiverri has reported a P25 million increase in revenue collection by the Business Permits and Licensing Office for the month of July compared to same period last year.
Echiverri said the city government collected some P82,296,587.97 from individuals and groups securing permits and licenses to be able to put up businesses in the city.
Of the amount, P74,143,006.65 came from the Main City Hall while P8,153,581.41 was collected from the North City Hall.
Based on the comparative report of the BPLO, there was a 42.38 percent increase in collection.
Last year, they were able to collect only some P56,997,915. Of the amount, P52,313,872.50 came from the Main City Hall while P4,684,042 was collected from the North City Hall.
The mayor said the increase in collection only shows the continuous support of the residents of Caloocan to his administration.
"Sa kabila ng hirap ng buhay ay patuloy ang mga mamayan sa matapat na pagbabayad ng kanilang obligasyon sa lungsod dahil alam nilang babalik ito sa kanila sa pamamagitan ng mas mabuting serbisyo at mas maraming proyekto at programa," he said.
With this, the mayor thanked the public and assured them that the tax collected by the city will be returned to them through better services and additional infrastructure. Pete Laude
