Chief Superintendent Benjardi Mantele, Caloocan City police chief, identified the fatalities as Mari Jane Pasmil, 24, and Teresita Tejero, 31, both residents of Phase 48, Block 65 Lot 9, Bagong Silang.
The other victims, who remained in critical condition, were identified as Leonila Pasmil, Fe Francisco and Leo Tejero. The three suffered several bullet wounds in the body.
Mantele said principal suspects Rodolfo Ligoyligoy, 60; and his two sons Rommel, 30, and Rodel, 27, all residents of Phase 1, Package , Block 8 Lot 6, Bagong Silang, were identified by witnesses, probers said.
Rodolfo and Rodel were apprehended by the police shortly after the incident in a follow-up operation. Rommel remains at large.
PO2 Julian Chavez, officer-on-case, said the suspects forced their way inside the victims residence at around 3 p.m. and without warning shot Mari Jane, Leonila and Fe before fleeing the scene.
Teresita and Leo immediately tried to rush the three victims to the nearest hospital. However, tragedy hounded them as the three suspects, apparently not satisfied with their earlier deed, waited in ambush for them. The two were met by a hail of bullets killing Teresita and seriously injuring Leo. Neighbors brought the victims to the nearest hospital.
Chavez said the slaying could have been caused by a family feud. It was gathered the two families have not been on speaking terms since several years ago. Police are conducting follow-up investigation on the case.
Police said Myra Fillomena was found inside a white sack a few meters away from her house in Barangay 733, Zone 80, Dagonoy street, Singalong, Tondo.
The victims legs had several burns caused by lighted cigarette.
Investigator PO1 Jerico Jimenez of the Western Police District-Homicide Section said a blue electrical wire was found looped around her neck. The victims mouth was gagged with a white medical gauze apparently to prevent her from shouting for help.
Prior to the discovery of the body, residents in the area were complaining about a foul odor, prompting them to check the source.
A relative of the victim found the body at around 10:30 a.m.
Jimenez said the victim had been missing since Saturday shortly after someone asked her to buy cigarettes from a nearby mini-store.
Police said the main suspect is a drug addict who works as a pedicab driver in the area. The victims aunt Arlene Taggaoa, who raised Fillomena, still could not believe she was dead. With Cecille Suerte Felipe
