Body found in Taguig

-
The Taguig police yesterday said they would coordinate with the National Anti-Kidnapping Task Force (Naktaf) to verify if the unidentified Chinese-looking man, who was found dead early yesterday morning near a cemetery, is another kidnap victim.

Police Officer 2 Junrene Obico, case investigator, said although they have not yet determined the identity of the man, they are not ruling out the possibility that he was also a victim of an abduction.

They would ask NAKTAF and other concerned agencies in Camp Crame to check their records if the description of the still unidentified man fits any of the reported kidnap victims.

Obico said they did not find any identification cards from the victim. The victim had black hair, 5’6" to 5’9" in height, between the ages of 38 to 43, with white complexion, medium build and was of Chinese descent.

"He appeared to be a foreigner, either a Chinese or Japanese." The victim, who was lying on a pool of blood, was wearing an ivory colored polo shirt, dark gray pants, with one black leather shoe, and gray socks.

At around 5:45 a.m. yesterday, Bantay Bayan member Tomas Dula reported to a police substation that a body was found near an open canal of the Heritage Memorial Park in Western Bicutan.

The victim had a bullet wound on the left side of his neck and an exit wound on the right side of his cheek. – Evelyn Macairan
