Another vintage bomb found

-
A World War II bomb found by workers on a busy street where excavation was in progress, caused a mild stir among passersby and pedestrians yesterday morning in Valenzuela City.

Chief Inspector John Chua, Valenzuela police Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) chief, said Jimmy Namnama, an employee of the JR Roberts Trading along G. Lazaro Street, Dalandanan, Valenzuela City, called up his office at around 10:30 a.m. yesterday.

Namnama reported that a 105 mm. howitzer round was found near their establishment.

Chua said he quickly sent a bomb disposal squad to the scene which took custody of the rusted and potentially dangerous still live bomb. The officer said it will be sent to Camp Crame for disposition. Jerry Botial
