Navarro, a native of Tarlac City, said she had no other recourse but to resort to drug pushing to support her family after her husband died years back.
However, her illegal business reached the attention of De Gracia who ordered Inspector Ricardo Marzo, San Juan police Drug Enforcement Unit, to conduct an entrapment operation. At about 7 p.m. Thursday, Marzo, using an "asset" was able to conduct a test buy for P200 worth of shabu.
After the shabu purchased from Navarro was tested positive, De Gracia immediately ordered Marzo to form a team and arrest her in a buy-bust operation.
After handing over a sachet of shabu to PO3 Arnel Cave in exchange for P200, Navarro sensed the presence of the police team. She pushed Cave to the ground, ran inside her house at 190 P. Parada St., Barangay Sta. Lucia and locked herself in.– Non Alquitran
