Wanted: Koreans to be deported

Two Koreans wanted for kidnapping and swindling in their home country will be deported to Seoul, South Korea, Immigration Commissioner Andrea Domingo said yesterday.
Domingo identified the Koreans as Park Seng Ho and Kim Kwang Sik, who are both wanted by authorities in Seoul for kidnapping a fellow Korean in Manila and multiple counts of fraud. Domingo said the two Koreans were picked up by Immigration intelligence agents at the Quezon City jail after their kidnapping case was dismissed by a Quezon City regional trial court for lack of interest by the victim. The judge, however, ordered the turnover of the Koreans to the bureau so that they can be deported to stand trial for the crimes they committed in their country.
The BID chief said the duo will be deported to Seoul within the week after which they will be blacklisted and barred from reentering the country. She added that the two Koreans were unable to produce any travel documents, hence they were in the country illegally.
Records showed that Park and Kim were arrested by the police and charged with kidnapping on July 1 last year that led to their eight-month detention at the Quezon City jail before the bureau took them into custody.
