Driver who killed two faces raps

A young businessman who accidentally killed two persons and seriously wounded four others was charged in court but posted bail on the same day.

Twenty-five-year-old businessman Marc Louis Tagle was released last Thursday afternoon, the same day he was charged before the Makati Regional Trial Court.

Tagle was charged with reckless imprudence resulting in double homicide and multiple physical injuries for a vehicular accident last Thursday.

Two housemaids were killed and four others were injured when Tagle’s BMW sedan rammed into a sidewalk near Forbes Park, Makati City. SPO1 Orlando De Leon identified the victims as Annalyn Bello, a housemaid of 8 Ipil St., Forbes Park and Elvy Siega, 38, yaya, 38 Nathan St., White Plains Subdivision, Quezon City.

Based on the initial investigation, the incident took place between 12:30 and 1 p.m. at the corner of McKinley Road near Gate 2 of the Global City in Fort Bonifacio. When interrogated, Tagle said that his BMW sedan was cut by another vehicle on Mckinley Road which came from EDSA.

To avoid the vehicle, Tagle said he swerved towards the left side of the road where the six persons were waiting for a ride.

Bello, who was on her way back to her employer’s house, was pinned between the car and the lamp post.

A taxi and jeepney passing by were hailed by bystanders who loaded the six victims on board.

Bello and the other woman both died while being treated at the Makati Medical Center.

The injured persons were identified as Jennylyn Lutella, 33, a housemaid working at 8 Ipil Road, Forbes Park; Maefa Marie Radoc, 34, single of Taytay, Rizal; Edwin Badon, Taytay, Rizal; andVirgie Foster, 31, single, housemaid of Pacific Plaza, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig. Marvin Sy
