Village officials join cops in fight against cyber sex

CEBU, Philippines - Barangay officials in Lapu-Lapu City have now joined the police in the campaign against cyber sex.

Mayor Paz Radaza has directed barangay captains and officials to lead the campaign.

“Kon ang atong mga opisyal sa barangay maningkamot gayud, dali ra man nga mahasakpan kadtong mga nalambigit niini nga mga dili maayong buhat” Radaza said.

Jose Dungog, barangay Gun-ob captain and president of the Association of Barangay Councils, said the police are at the forefront and barangay officials can provide information.

The arrest of a mother in sitio Sudtungan in barangay Basak, Lapu-Lapu City last week confirmed the reports that cyber sex is taking place in the city. (FREEMAN)
