CEBU, Philippines - The rehabilitation of the Ouano Avenue at the North Reclamation Area in Mandaue City will start this week, said Engr. Rachel Lumapas, the project engineer of the project.
She said equipment has been gathered for the asphalting of the 1.9-kilometer road which will start at the new avenue bridge and will end 30 meters away from the intersection at the Cebu International Convention Center.
Lumapas said traffic congestion in the area will not be badly affected because Ouano Avenue is a four-lane road.
The P121-million project is expected to be finished in 270 days, or on July 13, 2013.
Engr. Jose Renemiole, another project engineer said his office had received an instruction from the DPWH -7 telling it to hasten the project before the Sinulog Festival is held. – (FREEMAN)
