CEBU, Philippines - A Korean national was held up while on board a taxi Wednesday dawn while a driver of a delivery truck was robbed of his collections Thursday afternoon along Hernan Cortes Street in barangay Subangdaku, Mandaue City.
Hee Min Ahn, 18 ,single, who lives in barangay Cabancalan, Mandaue City told police she took a taxi with plate number GXC-186 in barangay Mabolo, Cebu City to go home to her apartment at around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday.
She said she sat beside the driver because the door in the rear was locked.
Near North Town Homes in barangay Cabancalan, one of two men hiding in the back seat declared a holdup.
Taken from Hee were her cellular phone worth P50,000, her wallet, and a bag containing documents.
The two men got off at Hernan Street, while the driver took her home.
Casuntingan police chief P/Insp. Jimmy Fortes said the taxi was traced to M & G Taxi.
When the driver was taken to the police station, He said he was not the man who drove her home and the taxi shown to her was not the same taxi that she took.
Meanwhile, the driver of a delivery truck of the M. C. Poultry Farm in barangay Canduman, Mandaue City was robbed of his collections Wednesday afternoon.
Julius Sososco said that while he was collecting payments from clients along Hernan Cortes Street in barangay Subangdaku, two men on a motorcycle stopped at the place and held him up at gunpoint.
Taken from him were his wallet containing P3,300 and documents. (FREEMAN)
