CEBU, Philippines - An Australian national is facing charges for alleged violation of the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003.
When the Australian was seen at a hotel in barangay Marigondon, the police immediately went to the place and arrested him.
Court records show that at about 2:30 p.m. on June 8, 2012, the Regional Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force of the Regional Intelligence Division (RID) led by Police Senior Inspector Maria Theresa Macatangay proceeded to a hotel in barangay Marigondon to serve the warrant of arrest issued by Presiding Judge Ester Veloso of Branch 6, Regional Trial Court in Cebu City to Brodtman.
Police took two women who were with Brodtman at the time to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in Lapu-Lapu City.
Police seized cellular phones and pictures found in the room occupied by the foreigner.
