CEBU, Philippines - A 21-year-old college student of the University of Cebu Lapu-Lapu-Mandaue City (UCLM) committed suicide Wednesday afternoon when he learned he was ineligible for graduation this year.
Ervin Montera, 21, single, and a BS Information Technology student was found hanging from the neck inside the bedroom of his parents in their house in sitio Pajo, barangay Ibabao, Mandaue City.
Edgardo, the father, took his son’s body to the Mandaue City Hospital. Montera was pronounced dead on arrival.
Investigator SPO1 Ludivico dela Peña of the Homicide Section found a text message from Montera’s cellular phone which read: Ma, pa pasayloa ko sa akong nabuhat. Wa mo kahibawo nga second year lang ko kutob kay na-adik ko sa computer.” (FREEMAN)
