Mandaue to review contract with tow firm

CEBU, Philippines- Mandaue City administrator James Abadia has assured the city will decide in two weeks time what to do with the contract with Jadewell Parking Systems Corporation.

Abadia said the city's contract with Jadewell needs to be reviewed in view of numerous complaints aired against the firm.

He said city legal officer Giovanni Tianero is now compiling all the complaints and preparing to review the contract with the company.

Abadia is urging aggrieved persons to come out in the open, although the firm is also entitled to due process.

Abadia, who is new to his position, said he doesn't know why the city council granted accreditation to the company despite numerous complaints against it.

The latest to file a complaint against the towing firm are some PhilAsia employees who said their service vehicle was towed while parked outside Cebu Rolling Hills.

The employees said their establishment and Rolling Hills have an existing agreement on the use of parking space.
