CEBU, Philippines - Cebu sixth district Rep. Gabriel Luis R. Quisumbing the other day delivered the first batch of ambuvans to barangays of Mandaue City and Consolacion and Cordova towns.
"As part of my commitment to have accessible and quality healthcare services for the residents of the 6th district, all sixty-one barangays in our congressional district shall be provided with ambuvans to better respond to emergency cases and needs," Quisumbing said.
The distribution of ambuvans reflects Quisumbing's continuing commitment to improve health services in the 6th district, considered as one of the most progressive districts in the entire country.
He said it is imperative to ensure the healthcare of constituents so that progress and development for all will continue uninterrupted.
Barangay officials from the city of Mandaue and municipalities of Cordova and Consolacion received the ambuvans in behalf of their respective local government units.
The barangays of Bakilid, Banilad, Maguikay, TIpolo, Opao, Umapad, Pakna-an, Jagobiao, and Subangdaku in Mandaue City; barangays Buagsong, and Gabi in the Municipality of Cordova and Barangays Tayud, Jugan, Nangka, Pulpogan, and Casili in the Municipality of Consolacion have received their ambuvans.
He said the rest of the barangays in the district shall receive their own units on a staggered basis in consideration of the necessary requirements set under the law for the procurement and donation of such ambuvans.
Present during the turnover ceremony in Mandaue City includes former Mandaue City Mayor Alfredo Ouano and former Mandaue City Mayor and now Provincial Board Member Thadeo Ouano.
"The constituents of our district can be assured of our unwavering commitment to work for their welfare". Quisumbing said.
