MANILA, Philippines — It’s couture season this week on the fashion calendar. And one of the most talked-about shows of the week is that of Claire Waight Keller’s second couture show for the house of Givenchy. Fresh from dressing up the Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle for the recent royal wedding, Waight Keller paid tribute to the house’s founder Hubert de Givenchy himself who passed away early this year.
Monsieur Givenchy is considered as one the first designers to dress up celebrities. His relationship with his most famous muse, Audrey Hepburn, is perhaps one of the most iconic moments in fashion history. Dressing her up for her role in Breakfast at Tiffany’s has been a source of inspiration to many.
Claire Waight Keller interpreted the infamous LBD from the movie for the finale look of the show. The updated version had a hoodie replacing the multiple strands of pearls that Hepburn wore.
In today’s look of the week, YStyle takes inspiration from the modernized version of the iconic dress that has launched a thousand Halloween costumes.
Book: Truman Capote’s Summer Crossing

The book was supposed to be adapted for film and directed by actress Scarlett Johansson years ago. It went into development but never pushed through with production.
