Rebel heart

Abstract expressionism: Almost like a brushstroke, apply some eyeshadow using your forefinger on the inner corner and flick across your eyes, just like an artist playing with his canvas. (Top from Balenciaga)

MANILA, Philippines - These past few seasons have gotten everyone preaching about the bare-faced, I-woke-up-like-this look. While the “no-makeup” makeup look is here to stay, fall/winter 2015 puts a spotlight on its darker side — almost a backlash to the barely-there, fresh-faced trend. This season, black is introduced with an entirely modern vision — from mod, goth, new wave and punk to Victoriana. In this exclusive YStyle beauty editorial, we collaborated with MAC senior makeup artist John Stapleton to interpret this key trend with four looks, all inspired by the runway.
