A shaded view

MANILA, Philippines - You can tell a lot about a person by the shades they wear. Wayfarers? If they’re colored frames, probably a hipster who possibly got left behind in 2011. If they’re classic black and he’s wearing a white T-shirt and denims, he probably thinks he’s a modern day James Dean. And so on.

 

 

Eye health boutique Eye Society and photographer Ronnie Salvacion took this principle of presentation, and this concept of vision, and turned it into a series of portraits featuring an international portfolio of eyewear brands. Each photo — and each brand — represents a visionary in a specific field, from the arts to architecture, and everything in between.

Eye Society is extending this “Vision” experience by offering its clients the chance to sit for their own portraits with Ronnie Salvacion. Make a purchase worth P15,000 (single-receipt or accumulated) before Jan. 31 and you get to sit for the lensman too.
