Tressed to impress

MANILA, Philippines - Last week, Tresemmé mounted the country’s first-ever backstage-to-runway fashion show where top hair pros gave audiences (literally) a peek at how runway-ready hair happens. A bared backstage showed the crowd what really happens behind the scenes until the model is sent out to walk the runway, the first show of its kind in the Philippines. Hair masters Jing Monis, Lourd Ramos, and Victor Ortega paired the latest hairstyle trends with this season’s hottest looks on the runway from high-street international brands to local designers.

Minimalist sleek: Streamlined styles with deep, side-part ‘dos and sculpted, bumped-up ponytails add drama to standard strand looks.

Top of the crop: Chic faux bobs with short waves match with fluid, ladylike dresses.

Making waves: Ultra-feminine one-sided mermaid waves balance geometrically structured dresses.

Center of attention: Modern, slick center-parted hair was paired with embellished, textured designs.

The bigger the better: Dramatic curls with show-stopping volume lend even more extravagance to haute couture.
