Arnold Galang: Summer celebration
Inspired by the Filipino love for festivities, Arnold Galang effortlessly mixes prints with the somber hues of black, white and gray. Ruched chiffon pieces such as ivory-colored dresses and pants were mixed with floral and abstract patterned jersey gowns, long skirts and loose pants. Embellished vests and tasseled bags also made an appearance. For this collection, the beauty lies in the mix of festive prints with somber colors, perfect for the summer, perfect for the urbanite in you.
Joel Escober: Of embellishments and retropop
Embellishments were the name of the game for this Joel Escober runway show. Sheer sleeveless tops embellished with purple flowers paired with gray pencil skirts and sequined bright-colored belts offered a perfect example of summer corporate dressing. An array of colors also marked the show, as Joel’s menswear collection featured colored linen pants done in aqua, mint green, purple and gray tempered with khaki trousers and sheer polos.
Jeffrey Rogador: For the love of denim
Denim took the center stage in the urban leanings of Jeffrey Rogador’s collection. For his menswear collection, Jeffrey showcased jackets and jeans done in classic silhouettes finished with detailing of ingenious patchwork and interesting blanket weaves. The designer, who known for his reversible jackets, also debuted his collection of reversible jeans. For the ladies, Jeffrey paired denim with jersey, contrasting hard and soft in his skirt and blouse combinations. Denim dresses accented the geometric patterns.
