A paranormal Christmas

MANILA, Philippines - The YStyle annual Christmas gathering is all about giving back. We’ve worked our models and makeup artists, hairstylists and designers, writers and photographers to the bone, sometimes without renumeration save for a Jollibee or pizza lunch. But we love you guys and all the sweat you put in in the name of Philippine fashion. At YStyle, we give equal attention to upcoming young names as we do to the already established. At the end of the day, it’s all about having a good time and being proud of our collaborative efforts.

Last week, the YStyle extended family were treated to a scary movie (Christmas-themed movie booking fail) at the Director’s Club at the SM Mall of Asia. There’s nothing like an invisible hoofed demon and headache-inducing camera movements to bring people closer together. Paranormal Activity may not have been the most fast-paced, or even activity-filled horror flick, but screams were aplenty as the audience cowered and covered their faces, awaiting the next haunting. And I believed many were freaked out when they got home that night, deciding whether to sleep with their bedroom doors open or closed.

Everyone went home stuffed with food courtesy of Yoshinoya, Bizu, French Baker, and Anthony Elepano of Chef Tony’s Popcorn, which we munched on during the film. Merry Christmas everyone!
