MANILA, Philippines - We didn’t expect to see so many onesies.
Last Saturday, Young Star celebrated its second annual #YSProm in arguably the most epic pajama party Manila has ever seen. Folks from the movie, music and fashion scenes all got their jammies on and gathered at Green Sun in Makati to celebrate Young STAR’s 19th birthday.
Guests were treated to the best midnight snacks, guaranteed to satisfy the biggest case of munchies. Potato Corner provided everyone’s favorite French fries. Brother’s Burger served up some wicked sliders. Everyone had their share of Yellow Cab Pizza. And there was even popcorn for those who wanted something a little more classic as they watched Parent Trap to start the night off.
As the crowd started to gather and the night’s event was heating up, EDSA Beverage Design Group opened up their booth and treated everyone to some of the coolest highlights of the night. People rushed to their mobile bar and got bottles of our cocktail collaborations like the #GGSS, #Walwal, #OTP, and our personal favorite, #DaddyIssues. San Miguel Beer was also on hand to provide everyone’s favorite brew. Given that the drinks got wiped out at the end of the night, it’s safe to say that guests’ thirsts were 100 percent quenched.
Like most parties that aspire for #FOMO-levels of success, our prom needed acts that would get the crowd going. Thankfully Tandems ‘91, CRWN, Judd Figuerres a.k.a. DJ Sweetheart brought the beats. If the guests didn’t know Tandems ‘91 before that night, we’re pretty sure they were hardcore stans by the time their set ended. And CRWN and Judd provided the perfect mix to get those bodies moving closer and closer.
Last but certainly not the least, it would be a crime not to mention the winners of our #YSProm. Congrats to Gil Cuerva and Bea Marin for being the Uratex Prom King and Queen and for each winning the super sweet Perfect Serenity Chimera Double size mattress. Gab Bustos and Thea de Rivera, everyone’s favorite #relationshipgoals, won National Book Store’s Couple of the Night. We’re sure they’re going to use all those gift checks to get some awesome cookbooks. SM Accessories Best Dressed Male went to BJ Pascual (we’re jealous he got P5,000 worth of SM Accessories GCs) and Martine Cajucom was awarded as the Uno de 50 Best Dressed Female. She also got Uno de 50 gift checks worth P5,000. The coolest group of the night a.k.a. Bedroom Athletics’ Pajama Posse went to Lauren Young, Megan Young, Saab Magalona, and Jasmine Curtis Smith who all wore onesies together. They all won Bedroom Athletics footwear, which we think will go well with their cute attire.
We ain’t ones to brag but waking up to hundreds of #YSProm Instagram posts the next day makes us feel like our birthday bash was a much bigger hit than Jurassic World. All that fun already got us thinking about what we want to do next year.
