There's no place like Heima

MANILA, Philippines - They say that it’s the thought that counts  well, in that case, Heima has really thought of you. The newly revamped lifestyle store is fully stocked (not to mention, newly decorated) with new furniture, notebooks and other merchandise (hint: new vinyl!). And just in time for the sweeter-than-candy-cane Heima for the Holidays, their recently launched campaign that waxes nostalgia through pastel colors, hints of gold, while exploring traditional Philippine patterns as part of their designs. Trust us, the placement of Christmas lights and banderitas would make for a great mistletoe alternative.

As part of the campaign that’ll span through February, Heima also has several collaborations lined up, among them are with Valerie Chua’s “Backyard of the Universe” exhibit (which will last until mid-December), graphic designer Dan Matutina and emerging calligraphy artist Fozzy Castro Dayrit. They’re also supporting Tarsius’s debut album by releasing limited edition vinyl copies of their record, to come out in 2012. “Themes of love, holiday festivities, gold and sparkles, desserts, champagne and lots of music,” says Bong Rojales, co-owner and marketing director of Heima. It’s beginning to sound like Christmas to us.

What I did for Heima: Apart from my solo exhibit, I did a snow globe painting which was turned into a limited edition print. I also contributed part of the website header.

There’s no place like Heima because… it’s not just a store, it’s a real home! And I’m not just talking about their beautiful furniture, but you can find the kindest and most supportive people in Heima. Plus they know how to party!

My plans for the holidays are… I’ll spend the holidays at home and catch up on my book reading. I haven’t read a book all year! I might want to try baking as well.

What I did for Heima: I did their holiday themed gift wrappers.

There’s no place like Heima because… they have a unique collection of nice-looking furniture and interior pieces.

My plans for the holidays are… go to the province (Tacloban City) and spend the holidays with my parents.

What we did for Heima: Tarsius made music for their video and also performed one of their gigs.

There’s no place like Heima because… all things are bright and beautiful.

Our plans for the holidays are… is to eat and eat and eat:)
