Schooled

MANILA, Philippines - As our readership goes back to school or, depending on their age, curses the day they graduated from college and got ball-and-chained to their office desks, we at Young Star concoct our own merry mix of miseducation. With our first “Schooled” issue—a collection of how-to lessons from a motley crew of our favorite people—we reiterate that age-old adage: Learning doesn’t end in the classroom.

We’re all about the learning lately. It might have something to do with Young Star 2.0 editor Paolo Lorenzana on leave from his post to go to (grad) school himself. It might have something to do with our current core team aging nowhere above 24. It might have something to do with us forgetting to credit our awesome makeup artist in last week’s “Hollaback girl” shoot (Check out the rest of Andrea Tonda’s work on andreatondamake-up.com). But whatever it is, we’ve got a new learning philosophy.

From Cady Heron-ing your way into the popular crowd to finally learning how to fix a flat tire, from the ditzy to the pseudo existential, we’ve assembled a lesson plan your program director won’t soon be endorsing.
