Travelife India Night: Beyond Bollywood

MANILA, Philippines - Travelife Magazine, in cooperation with the Embassy of India, the Indian Council for Cultural Relations and Dusit Thani Manila, is presenting Travelife India Night, a wonderful evening of gourmet Indian food followed by a private concert of world-class Indian music. This is the first in a series of unique evenings focusing on food and culture under the Travelife Experiences brand. 

On February 25, 2011, Dusit Thani Manila Chef Naushad Alam will serve a five-course Indian degustation meal while H.E. Ambassador Yogendra Kumar, Indian ambassador to the Philippines, will speak about India and answer questions. 

As a finale, there will be a special private concert for Travelife guests by India’s top classical artists, headed by top sitarist Zunain Khan, son of the legendary sitarist Ustad Abdul Halim Jaffer Khan, and Abhijit Roychoudhury, one of India’s most prominent sarod artists. 

“We strongly believe in travel as part of a good education and as a way of broadening one’s horizons,” said Travelife Magazine publisher Christine Cunanan. “And we at Travelife are committed to bringing the world to our readers via Travelife Magazine and Travelife Experiences.”
