@samberlin: “A person who shares useful and useless information.”

MANILA, Philippines - Rather than collide, the real world and the worldwide web have merged pretty well. With all our real-time self-E-xpression, Facebook shouldn’t take away from actual face time and tweeting shouldn’t stop you from meeting people, either.

To prove this, @youngstarphils followed the nocturnal trail over the weekend, squeezing through The Collective’s beat-digging mass, hollering with the hooligans at Fiamma’s World Cup watch-a-thon, and saluting the couture-crazed crowd at revolutionary new club Republiq for Preview’s haute homage to Alexander McQueen.

Snapping the social network we made was photographer Gabby Cantero, who traded her Daylight Series portraiture for headshots under the lights of night. What we got were people who don’t just answer Twitter’s query of “What’s happening?” but actually are happening, as well.

And to these characters both on and offline, we asked, “Who are you online?”
