MANILA, Philippines - It was an exciting night filled with entertainment and surprises as Nissin Yakisoba held the Nissindividuality Finals Night at the Market! Market! Activity Center in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City. The event, which was part of the Nissin Yakisoba University Invasion, was the culmination of the brand’s search for the top six students who best embodied the different Nissin Yakisoba Nissindividuality profiles. Sifting through over a thousand aspirants from 25 colleges and universities, the competition sought out outstanding teens who possess distinct confidence, talent and personality.
The winners for the different categories are as follows: Klentz Chua of Ateneo de Manila University for Campus Idol; Patricia Quiogue of Trinity University of Asia for Fashionista; Nina Ricci Bunsoy of De La Salle University for Dean’s Lister; Francis Vergara of Rizal Technological University for Artsy Fartsy; Joshua Adriano of San Juan de Letran for Celebrity Material; and Ralph Samson of Ateneo de Manila University for Musikero. Apart from becoming the new Nissin brand ambassadors, which will see them appear in the brand’s billboard and print ads, the winners also each received a laptop, a Nissin gift pack, a trophy and a choice between a P10,000 cash prize or a talent workshop course worth the same amount.
“It’s all about celebrating the youth and encouraging them to embrace their individuality,” said Ed Canta, Nissin-Universal Robina’s general manager. “We wanted to find diverse personalities who actively pursue their passion and aren’t afraid to chase after their dreams — those who can be good role models to their fellow students.” Hosted by famed TV and radio personality Mo Twister and Mutya ng Pilipinas 2002 First Runner-up Ms. Kristine Caballero, the event featured energetic musical performances and dance routines by some of the aspirants. After the initial elimination, the 15 finalists were also subjected to a rigorous question-and-answer segment where a panel of judges asked contestants about such timely topics as politics, education, Filipino society and the environment. JG Summit Holdings, Inc. corporate communications manager Viveca Singson, Nissin senior brand manager Minna Vistan and SkyCable vice president Rina Sha served as the competition jury.
