The Transformers are back

MANILA, Philippines - For the kids of the ‘80s and early ‘90s, Transformers was the “it” cartoon with robots disguised as cars in a long-standing battle between good and evil.

Today, Transformers continues to make waves as Robinsons Malls and Solar-United International Pictures Philippines, together with Robinsons Movieworld and Toys R Us, present the movie Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. For the special occasion Robinsons Malls will hold “The Grand Rollout” at Robinsons Place Manila, today; Robinsons Galleria (June 20); Forum Robinsons (June 25); Metro East (July 3); Robinsons Place Iloilo (July 4), and Robinsons Place Bacolod (July 5). Only limited slots are available for the event.

At “The Grand Rollout,” a Transformers museum will be created and a curator will explain anything there is to know about the Transformers. Get a chance to meet Optimus Prime, Bumbleebee, Megatron and the rest of the Transformers in a special “Meet and Greet” session. Limited Transformers items are up for grabs in the various activities.

Activities for kids aged 7-12 include transforming the robots, assembling of giant puzzles, and identifying Autobots and Decepticons. Teenagers 13-17 years old can join the trivia contest, create their own robots, or join the “Decepticon Frenzy.” “The Grand Transformers Challenge,” the ultimate trivia contest about the well-loved series, is open to anyone age 18 and above.

Catch the special screening of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen on July 27, 7 p.m. in Robinsons Galleria Movieworld Cinema 3.
