Still chilling and grilling at Cowboy Grill

MANILA, Philippines - If there’s one restaurant that knows how to keep good food, good entertainment, and good fun rolling for 15 years, it’s got to be Cowboy Grill. Since its humble beginnings in 1994 in Dau, Pampanga, the restaurant has moved to four successful branches throughout Metro Manila, promoting good live music while serving the best of classic Filipino food.

Long has Cowboy Grill been known as the place that serves some of the best sisig, done five ways: original pork, tuna, pusit, chicken and bangus. There are a lot of other favorites that simply remind you of good home cooking. Like the bulalo, kare-kare, sinigang, tinolang manok, chicken pork adobo, adobong pusit, menudo, crispy pata, kaldereta and kilawin. The Cowboy Grill Lite restaurant along United Nations Avenue in Ermita serves comforting all-day breakfasts, including tocilog, ribsi, tapsilog, longsilog, adsi and dangsilog.

Cowboy Grill also serves three kinds of barkada samplers that are good for five to six people and already come with a barrel of beer. There’s the Cowboy Sampler that comes with sisig, inihaw na pusit, chicken BBQ, spareribs, inihaw na tilapia and manggang hilaw. Then there’s the Cowboy prito sampler that comes with a pritong tilapia, calamares, chicken wings, camaron rebosado and ensaladang mangga. And finally, there’s the appetizer sampler that comes with onion rings, cheese sticks, squid balls, nachos and French fries.

Meanwhile, coming out this month is Cowboy Grill’s biggest sampler platter yet, the mega barkada sampler. This big bilao is good for about 10 to 12 people and features a lot of Cowboy Grill’s specialties, including original pork sisig, cheese sticks, inihaw na tilapia, pork BBQ, chicken wings and French fries. And of course, it also comes with a barrel of beer.

As Cowboy Grill celebrates its 15th anniversary this May, prepare for more great live music, good Filipino food and loads of beer from San Miguel, Cowboy Grill’s ultimate drink partner. Indeed, Cowboy Grill is prepared to go all out this time around.

For starters, there will be three live bands performing nightly at Cowboy Grill Malate and Cowboy Grill Mabini the whole month of May, with live bands set to entertain every Friday and Saturday at Cowboy Grill Las Piñas and Cowboy Grill Biñan. Rivermaya will perform at Cowboy Grill Malate on May 19 and Cowboy Grill Las Piñas on May 26.

Ladies Night happens every Wednesday in Cowboy Grill Las Piñas, Biñan and Malate and every Saturday at Cowboy Grill Lite on United Nations Avenue, Ermita. As expected, all ladies are treated to free cocktails and lots of other surprises. There’s also going to be a stand-up comedy night at Cowboy Grill Lite, Ermita every Wednesday and Saturday. And head over to Cowboy Grill Biñan, Laguna to catch the Female Dance Craze Fever.
