Every year, parents look for enriching summer programs that provide a learning experience and a fun two-month vacation that is a welcome respite from the rigors of schoolwork.
Institute for Foreign Study, Inc.’s (IFS) summer programs in April and May 2009 are a perfect blend of the educational, the cultural and the touristic. Its unique themes and complementary academic program provides perspective and personal growth to participants that the usual classroom experience cannot give. And like past IFS summers, the experience is defined by new insights about people and cultures revealing common concerns that transcend borders. Being “on their own” makes the experience a real accomplishment for most participants.
