Samsung Mobile launched the Samsung Innov8 mobile phone which blends cutting-edge imaging and multimedia features to deliver the best possible mobile phone entertainment. Held at the Blue Leaf Events Pavillion in McKinley Hill, the celebration was a toast to innovation and the new era of multimedia technology in mobile phones.
The quirky trio of Slick Rick, Sam YG and Boom Gonzales entertained everyone with their fun and casual hosting. They introduced Samsung VP for Marketing-Mobile Phones Charles Choi and head of Mobile Phones Fe Varilla who welcomed their guests to the venue. The powerful features of the Samsung Innov8 were unveiled — innovative mobile camera technologies, surround-sound cinematic video experience, efficient mobile internet browsing experience and mobile gaming capabilities.
Earlier on in the day, the Samsung Innov8 race took place. Eight teams composed of a celebrity, a member of the press, a Samsung dealer, and a Samsung marshal went around the metro, racing to eight pit stops to test the various features of the mobile phone. At the launch party, Lyn Tan of Samsung, Gusty Uykim of Style Electronics, JR Issac and John Hall of the Team MOSAIC were awarded with their very own Samsung Innov8 mobiles for winning the race. The rest of the participants were also acknowledged and given consolation prizes.
Through a sumptuous dinner, Tim Tayag charmed the crowd with his witty jokes and comedic antics. Juan Pablo Dream then wrapped up the evening of fun, excitement and mobile phone enchantment.
