Petal pusher

Pop a few opiates and take a stroll through some seriously colorful foliage and you’ll have a tiny idea of what Japanese photographer Mika Ninagawa’s work is all about. Credit Shu Uemura’s latest holiday collection to Ninagawa’s evocative, stunning images of hyper-real blooms in kaleidoscopic hues.

Eye-popping, candy-colored tints make up the eye color palettes, divided into three distinct groups: Midnight Winter Sakura (smoky blue and pink beige), Adorned Marguerite (vivid pinks and blues) and Secret Luscious Rose (frosted white and moss green). Petal-hued lipsticks, dreamy, rich sorbet shaded nail lacquers and sweet bold lip glosses round out the collection.

Ninagawa and Shu Uemura’s partnership’s proven that spring isn’t the only season with a lock on florals.     — BL
