Kandi-licious

It was a shiny, shimmering and candy-colored night.Ladies wearing short metallic dresses all came out to add glitter to the recent Hed Kandi dance-a-thon. A hint of summer was also in the air as some of the ladies came in wearing pastel-colored tops. Choice of footwear ranged from comfy bejeweled flats to metallic stilettos to classic pumps and mid-calf boots. Accessories were kept very minimal.  Long necklaces and bangles were evident picks and were just enough to add accents to the  already dazzling outfits. And to carry their essentials these glam girls toted everything from small metallic clutches to boho-type bags.

The combination of glitz and music mounted by Nokia Music Express together with Big Fish’s Hed Kandi was killer. Everyone danced the night away and sang their hearts out as lovely Samantha James belted the hot track, Rise. DJ Andy Norman, known for his ambient style, provided track after track of spellbinding music.  Team Bigfish’s DJ Johnboy Lee thrilled everyone with his rendition of the Nokia tune. Bluetooth stations served the appetite of partygoers  who wanted their own share of the track. Truly, it was a wondrous night.  Everyone went home with glitter in their eyes and music playing in their heads.

Luisa Jimenez

Layla Keiner

Layla is wearing a simple gray dress with sequins at the top, which she got in the US, with matching wedges, bought from Schu. She didn’t accessorize the outfit much because the sequins are already more than enough; she just wears a pair of silver hoop earrings.  She is inspired by the style of Lindsay Lohan whose clothing choices are daring, chic and sophisticated.

Tracy Abad

Tracy’s tube top is from Street Beat Boutique, the jeans are from Topshop and the shoes from Steve Madden. Her Korean-inspired necklace is from Oohwables, which she says is very trendy and stylish and just about matches everything and anything she wears. Her style for the night is all about comfort with a hint of flirtatious action.

Cria Eugenio

Cria is wearing a gold V-neck shirt dress which she got from her mom’s store in Malate with brown footless, opaque tights from Tomato, and shoes from Charles & Keith.  She accessorizes her ensemble with a gold tiger necklace from Anthology in Rockwell and a Louis Vuitton bag.

Kathleen Peña

To create a somewhat glitzy look, Kathleen wears a metallic gray sleeveless tunic dress that she bought at a bazaar. It has a black round neckline and a fitted hemline that contrast with the metallic color. The neckline is also accented with stones and has gathering details below it. She layers the bottom half of her dress with black leggings to soften the somewhat flashy color of the dress and wears ankle boots to liven up her outfit. Kathleen picked this dress because it was comfortable and has a particularly relaxed fit. She wears a small and simple silver ring, bracelet and earrings.
