A lot of interesting things have been brewing in the local retail-clothing scene and Bayo, which also happens to be one of the country’s leading fashion brands, seems to be behind it all. Having been around for 16 years, the brand has practically become a staple in the Filipina fashionista’s closet, creating classic yet fun pieces that are easily mixed and matched.

Recently, Bayo launched its newest endorser, another beautiful young Filipina achiever, in the bigger and newly-renovated Glorietta branch. An equestrienne, artist and product design major at Stanford University, Danielle Conjuangco fits Bayo’s image perfectly. An intellectual beauty excelling even in the two polar fields of sports and the arts, Danielle is the epitome of the well-rounded, sophisticated woman.

The launch was hosted by model Nicole Hernandez. The cocktail event not only introduced Danielle but showcased the brand’s revamped store design. A fashion show featuring Bayo’s latest collection was modeled around the now predominantly white space, subtly accented by dainty, printed wallpaper, providing the perfect backdrop for the bright rainbow-colored pieces of the collection.

Pinky Estrebillo

What colors would you use on your friendship bracelet?

Pink with aqua or tiffany blue because these are my favorite colors these days.

Yvette Lejano

What is the most memorable activity you did with your friends?

My sis-ters and cousins all met up in New York City. An all-girl group, we all felt young once again. We hit the bars and watched all the Broadway shows, plus shopped like crazy!

Corcor Bitong

Who do you miss gossiping with?

My late mom. She had a great sense of humor and the best laugh ever. I could tell her just about anything!

Nicole Hernandez

Why would you give anyone a friendship bracelet?

I’d give it to someone I dislike and who dislikes me, that way we can put aside our animosity and become friends.

Jouela Kongun

What do you talk about with your best friends over an afternoon at a nail spa?

Trivial stuff like clothes we like or makeup. We don’t think of anything but having fun!

Lynn Agustin

What makes shopping a perfect activity to catch up with your friend?

It’s the best time to trade beauty secrets and shopping finds. It’s when we’re most relaxed. We always end up laughing at each other while trying out clothes.

Hazel Tañedo

What drink would you share with your friends while bonding?

Coco lychee or amaretto lychee because they taste great and make us feel bubbly and happy!

Xeng Zulueta

Where would you go for a wild night with the gals?

I’d rent the biggest suite in a posh hotel and order champagne and adult films.

Danielle Cojuangco

Can your mom be your best friend, too?

Of course. In fact, she is my best friend! She is the one person I can turn to with full trust. We are very close and I think it’s because I can tell her anything, knowing I will always get the best advice. And we know how to have fun together.

Jessica Kienli

Who among your girlfriends knows most of your secrets?

My sister, because she is my confidante and sidekick!

Danielle Go

What do you share with your best friend?

Almost everything. It can be the smallest thing in the world like a smile or laugh.
